Baroness Helen Newlove

Best known for her role as Victims’ Commissioner for England and Wales, Baroness Newlove campaigned tirelessly to champion the cause of crime victims. Lobbying high-powered ministers, she published major reviews, shining a light on the failings of the criminal justice system. Holding ministers to account, she never wavered in her goal to deliver better treatment for victims. She was elevated to the House of Lords in 2010.

Bill Esterson was elected Member of Parliament for Sefton Central in 2010. He was appointed Shadow Minister for Small Business in October 2016 and was given further responsibility for International Trade three months later. In September 2023 he was appointed Shadow Minister for Roads.

As a Solicitor of the Senior Courts for England and Wales, he practiced Human Rights law before specialising in telecommunications law.

John Hannett OBE is a lifelong trade unionist having served as General Secretary of the shopworkers union, USDAW, for 14 years. He served on the Trade Union Congress General Council and Executive Committee, Low Pay Commission and the Labour Party’s National Executive Committee. He was given a peerage in the 2024 Special Honours.

Peter Johnson-Treherne is a chartered accountant with over 30 years qualified experience, having worked at PwC prior to joining Heritage Great Britain PLC in 1999. Peter’s role at Heritage involves him leading in all financial, legal, HR and other corporate matters having been instrumental in the development of the business since it was formed to where it is now – with a turnover of £20m, up to 500 staff and attracting 2 million visitors per annum to its iconic sites.
